The home page is usually the first page visited in a website.

Lanius CMS home page is the first published menu item located in the mainmenu section of the Menu Manager; it is the equivalent to an index page in a static HTML web site.

The default home page is the Frontpage component, but you can use any type of menu item as Frontpage.
