Component/Registration

This component allows the administrator to enable/disable the ability for users to register to receive certain functionality.

Parameters

The parameters available for customization by the administrator are located at Menu > mainmenu > Registration

The following parameters are available to the administrator:

• Enable new users registration: This parameter specifies whether the administrator wants to enable new users registration
• New user is automatically active: This parameter specifies whether or not once a user is registered the user will be activated automatically
• Registration confirmation mode: This parameter specifies how the user will confirm the registration
  • Users can specify a password which is not received via email: This option allows the user to click on a link provided via email to confirm his account as well as specify a password for a account
  • Users can specify a password and they will receive it via email: This option allows the user to specify a password upon registration which will be sent to the user via email including the registration confirmation link
  • A new password is created and sent to user: This option allows the system to automatically generate and send a randomly generated password
  • An activation link is sent to users which are then allowed to change their password: This option if chosen sends the activation link to the users email address provided at registration, the user is then allowed to change the password
• Lost password mode: This parameter specifies how lost password is handled:
  • The current password is sent to user (requires clear passwords ON): If this option is chosen then the current password will be sent to the users email address provided at registration
  • A new password is created and sent to user: If this option is chosen then a new password will be automatically and randomly generated and sent to the users email address provided at registration
  • An activation link is sent to users which are then allowed to change their password: If this option is chosen then a activation link will be sent to the user which will allow the user to change the password
• Enable XUP support: This parameter specifies whether or not XUP support should be enabled
• CAPTCHA test before registration submission: This parameter specifies whether or not the CAPTCHA test before submission of the registration form should be enabled
• Send notification email on new user registration: This parameter specifies whether or not a notification email should be sent to the administrators and managers when a new user registers
