This component allows the management of private messaging.

Parameters

The parameters available for customization by the administrator are located at Menu > mainmenu > Contact.

The following parameters are available to the administrator:

• Show users in recipients list using: This parameter specifies how the users should be shown in the recipients list in the Contact page
  • Username: This parameter if selected will display the users Usernames
  • Real name: This parameter if selected will display the users Real Names
  • Username and Real name: This parameter if selected will display the users Usernames and Real Names
• Allow sending to multiple recipients: This parameter if enabled will allow sending of the same message to more than one recipient
• Deliver full message through email: This parameter if enabled will deliver the full message through email to the recipient/s
• Email storage settings: This parameter specifies how the emails received should be stored
  • Do not store email: If this parameter is selected then the email will not be stored
  • Save email in user's inbox: If this parameter is selected then the email will be stored in the user's inbox
  • Save email in user's inbox and notify him: If this parameter is selected then the email will be stored in the user's inbox and the user will also get a notification
• Maximum message length (in bytes): This parameter specifies the maximum message length in bytes, by default this is set to 1024
• Minimum access level of receivers: This parameter specifies the minimum access level in order for the user to be listed in the recipients list
• Allow attachments: This parameter specifies whether or not attachments should be accepted
• CAPTCHA test before contact form submission: This parameter specifies whether or not there should be CAPTCHA validation, this option is recommended to be enabled to reduce the amount of SPAM received
